HOUSE SYSTEM




The House System is of great importance in school life. Its function is to inculcate the spirit of healthy competition among students and encourage it within the school. The four different houses in the school compete with one another at sports, academics and many other activities, thus providing a focus for group loyalty and teamwork.

Inter- House competitions are organised on regular basis in Mount Litera Zee School,Gwalior.These competitions ensure the allround development of a child and also helps them to boost their confidence level. These competitions also help the students to realise their unique potential.


Christopher Columbus House


The name of the house honours famous Italian explorer and navigator Christopher Columbus who completed 4 voyages across the Atlantic ocean opening the way for European exploration and colonization of the Americans. His expeditions, sponsored by the Catholic Monarchs of Spain, were the first European contact with the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.

The students of Columbus house are identified by the blue colour of their sports uniform.


Mahatma Gandhi House


Gandhi house takes its name from father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi, was an Indian lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist, and political ethicist, who employed nonviolent resistance to lead the successful campaign for India's independence from British rule, and in turn inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. The students of Gandhi House are distinguished with the green colour of their sports uniform.


Albert Einstein House


The name of Einstein house is kept in honour of German born theoretical physicist Albert Einstein who developed the theory of relativity. His work is also known for its influence on the philosophy of science. He received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics "for his services to theoretical physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect", a pivotal step in the development of quantum theory. The students of Einstein house are recognised by the orange colour of their sports uniform.



Leonardo Da Vinci House


The name of Da Vinci house is taken from the Renaissance man Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian polymath of High Renaissance who is widely considered as one of the most diversely talented individuals ever to have lived.While his fame initially rested on his achievements as a painter, he also became known for his notebooks, in which he made drawings and notes on science and invention. The students of Da Vinci house are distinguished with the red colour of the sports uniform. Students of all the four houses participate and compete among themselves with great enthusiasm and zeal.
